- The Knitting Workshop 5:00 – 7:00 This 10-week series is designed to meet your goals. The workshop will run every Tuesday through March, pick any 10 sessions and fire up your needles!
- Socks Two x Two 5:30 – 7:00 Say goodbye to Second Sock Syndrome – in this two part class you will learn how to knit two socks at once on one long circular needle. it is recommended that you have previous sock knitting experience
Wednesday:
- Quick Cable Slouch 11:30 – 1:00 or 6:00 – 7:30 Learn the basics of chart reading & cable knitting while knitting this cute hat by Azure Knits
Thursday:
- Open Knit 6:00 – 8:30 No instruction just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included. BYO refreshments, if desired.
Friday:
- Finishing 4:00 – 5:30 Learn the essential skills you need to properly finish your knitted items. Mattress stitch, picking up stitches, three needle bind off, kitchener and button holes will be covered. homework provided at registration
Saturday:
- Drop Spindling 10:00 – 11:30 Welcome to the mystery of making your own yarn! Learn how to spin and ply fiber into yarn. Not only is spinning fun, understanding yarn construction will improve your knitting and crocheting projects.
- Learn to Knit/Learn to Crochet 11:30 – 1:00
- Let’s Play Footsie12:30 – 2:00 Saturdays in February are going to be all about the feet! Join in the fun and start knitting socks – let’s explore color, pattern, texture and technique! If you’re brand new to sock knitting, why not sign up for our sock class or get started on some legwarmers? If you’ve already knit socks, but could use some support, then this is the thing for you!
- Umaro KAL 12::30 – 2:00 “A luxuriously textured wool throw, worked in super-bulky yarn.” Have you seen this gorgeous pattern by Jared Flood? Do you already know how to knit cables & lace? Are you intimidated by the thought of putting them all together? Then this is the Knit Along for you!
- Socks! 3:00 – 4:30 Isn’t it about time you learned to make socks? In this three-week class, you will learn to knit a sock from the cuff down, and walk away prepared to tackle almost any sock pattern out there.
- Inspira Cowl 11:00 – 1:00 11:00 – 1:00 Make this gorgeous cowl and learn a traditional knitting technique of stranded knitting!
- Dustland Hat & Mitts 1:00 – 3:00 Join us as we knit this unisex-y hat and mitts set! as with all KAL’s – complimentary with your Village Knitter purchase of yarn for the project, otherwise the drop-in fee is $5.00/session.
