Learn to Knit! (for absolute beginners and those whose skills may be rusty).
In this two-session class, you will learn the foundations of all knitting. The first week will cover the cast on and the knit stitch. In the second week you will learn the purl stitch and to bind off. $50/2 sessions
Tuesdays, 3:00 – 4:30 Saturdays, 11:30 – 1:00

Learn to Crochet (for absolute beginners and those whose skills may be rusty).
In this two-session class you will learn the foundations of crochet – slip stitch, chain stitch, foundation chain, single crochet, double crochet, shell stitch and more.
$50/2 sessions
Tuesdays, 3:00 – 4:30 Saturdays, 11:30 – 1:00

The Knitting Workshop
This 10-week series is a knitting workshop designed to meet the knitter’s goals. Knitters can work on any project and receive assistance throughout the 10 weeks. Knitters will also learn new knitting techniques as well as share ideas and experiences within the group. It’s a wonderful setting to enhance your knitting skills! This workshop will be held every Tuesday  during the fall, come in on any 10 Tuesdays  that work for your schedule.
$100/ 10 week session

Drop Spindling!
Welcome to the mystery of making your own yarn! Learn how to spin and ply fiber into yarn. Not only is spinning fun, understanding yarn construction will improve your knitting and crocheting projects.
$25/session **materials fee
Saturdays, 10:00 – 11:30

Socks!
Isn’t it about time you learned to make socks? In this three-week class, you will learn to knit a sock from the cuff down, and walk away prepared to tackle almost any sock pattern out there. This class will be held every Saturday through March, come in on any 3 Saturdays that work for your schedule!
First sesson: foot measurement, cast on, join and begin the cuff. Homework: Knit 6″ cuff
Second session: Heel flap, turn the heel, gusset. Homework: knit the foot
Third Session: Kitchener the toe – et voilà!
$75/ 3 sessions

Socks Two at a Time
Say goodbye to Second Sock Syndrome – Learn how to knit two socks at once on one long circular needle.  it is recommended that you have previous sock knitting experience

Learn the basics of chart reading & lace knitting while knitting this gorgeous shawl.  Perfect for those summer evenings!

Finishing
Learn how to properly finish your knitted items. Mattress stitch, picking up stitches, three needle bind off, kitchener and button holes will be covered. (homework provided at registration).
$25/ 1 session

Jane Austen II KAL 
Join us every Sunday as we answer the question, “What would Jane knit?”
as with all KAL’s – complimentary with your Village Knitter purchase of yarn for the project, otherwise the drop-in fee is $5.00/session.

Ravelympics
Join the Village Knitter Ravelympics Team!  How does Ravelympics work?  It’s fun and simple. The goal for the Ravelympics is to challenge yourself to make something within 17 days of the Olympics London 2012. You can only start when the Olympic games begin at the Opening Ceremony and must complete that project before or by the end of the Olympic Games’ Closing Ceremony.  we will be hosting various team meetings and training sessions so watch for updates!

Christmas/Holiday KAL 
Introducing your own fibery savings account!  Join us to work on a knitted holiday gift.  By the time December rolls around, your gift list will be finished!
*club membership is free with purchase of supplies!

Open Knit
No instruction, just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included. BYO refreshments, if desired.

No charge for Open Knit – while it is not required to purchase supplies from The Village Knitter, it is certainly appreciated!

Open Spin
Bring your wheel and/or drop spindle and enjoy an evening of spinning! No instruction, just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included. BYO refreshments, if desired.
first Wednesday of the month, 6:00 – 8:30

Private Lessons
One-on-one instruction is also available at $30/hour or $20/half hour. Perfect if you can’t attend one of our scheduled classes. By appointment only.

Make Your Own Classes
Sign up with several friends to create your own class. Bring refreshments and make it a party!







Students must register in advance for all classes except Knit Alongs. Students will receive a 10% discount on any purchases made during their class.While it is not required to purchase supplies from The Village Knitter, it is certainly appreciated!  **This discount does not apply to Knit Alongs. 

Please register as early as possible as classes fill up quickly and class size is limited (note: class requires 2 or more students to run). Payment is due upon registration. Students may cancel up to one week in advance for store credit. Full refunds are only given if the class is cancelled by the instructor.

Please be on time for your class, all sessions will start promptly at the time stated.
